Practicing software engineer. In the early 1980s I founded an IT services cosulting firm that provided to-specification systems to the clinical and pharmacology research markets at price points roughly comparable to turnkey systems of that day. To maximize developer productivity we employed broad function high-level interpretive languages chiefly STSCs APL+\PC.
Today, my work is primarily in the dotNet languages, but I occasionally do algorithm-level prototying in APL. NARS is my primary tool for that purpose.
